QUOTE OF THE MONTH
"Don’t procrastinate, make your dreams come true today."

QUESTION OF THE MONTH
How difficult is it to get self-published books into the major bookstores?

It’s not difficult, but it’s not easy either. In order to get into a major bookstore, like Barnes & Noble’s, you must first secure a distributor. Then, mail-out a packet including your book to that particular bookstore requesting that they carry it. And if they chose to do so, they’ll notify you and order books directly from the distributor. For more information, please purchase a copy of my self-publishing guide.
*

FIVE MISTAKES SELF-PUBLISHED AUTHORS MAKE
1) Not allowing a budget for editing.
2) Not making the book available for pre-ordering.
3) Not promoting their books outside the bookstores.
4) Not testing the book cover.
5) Spending too much money on advertising.
